When the technicians arrived, they showed me the burnt contactor on the condenser and explained why the unit kept trying to kick on but wouldn’t stay running, which finally made sense. They had the part on the truck, swapped it out that night, and even adjusted the refrigerant levels slightly after noticing the pressure readings were off, and by midnight the house was cool enough for everyone to sleep comfortably.
